First Parish Press is the new publication arm of First Parish Brewster, a Unitarian Universalist congregation in the heart of Cape Cod. Our mission is to publish short runs of texts long on meaning. We will publish works by our congregants and friends connected to the church: poetry, fiction and non-fiction that speaks to the themes of justice, love and compassion.
The poets represented in our first volume include people from a college-age youth to elders and others in-between, poets who offer their work and vision of justice. Topics include the holocaust, LGBT justice, peace, the uprising and violence at Tiananmen, and more. |
